Welcome To Your New Haas Factory Outlet, Phoenix It’s about collaboration at it’s best... and an ultra high-tech image! Haas Factory Outlet (HFO), a Division of Ellison Machinery Company, will unveil its impressive, state-of-the art, high tech showroom and facility in Tempe, Arizona, in November. The facility will be more than 3 times larger than their current location, at 13,000 square feet. “Our vision is to create a facility that is not only aesthetically attractive and ultra-professional, but facilitates collaboration with our customers, suppliers, and educational partners”, President Peter Histed said. Peter, a degreed mechanical engineer, came to Arizona in January of this year to head up the HFO. Prior to this assignment, Peter spent years in high tech sales both in the United States and in Europe, including assignments at EDS PLM Solutions and Ellison Technologies in California. “The furniture is a departure from the traditional”, Peter said. “It is sleek and sophisticated, and above all, comfortable for our visitors and staff. It fits our image as modern, efficient and collaborative.” “The offices are largely open plan with new high-tech furniture for employees to work in. The growing sales force will utilize our “hotel spaces” or “hot desks”, Peter said. “We want them out interacting with customers, so we don’t want them to feel too “at home” here!” The facility is designed to enable and encourage extensive learning, and the training room, equipped with the latest in audiovisual, video and sound technology, will measure 900 square feet. Rick Fleming, Vice President of Customer Support, was instrumental in the design of the facility. “Our goal”, he said, “was to provide an amazing training and education center that will result in the best learning and collaboration experience for all.” “We envision the HFO facility to be bustling with events”, Peter said, “including seminars, demonstrations and product training. The focus is on helping our customers to deploy new technologies”. Patrick Ellison, Business Manager, said, “I am excited to bring my customers to this outstanding facility where we can constantly introduce and demonstrate new technologies.” “Our new HFO facility will dramatically increase our inventory capabilities for our customers, and it’s layout will make it much easier to restock our fleet of HFO Service vans”, Connie Pardon, Service Coordinator, said. “The whole design of the HFO”, she elaborated, “is to facilitate continuous improvement in customer service.” The showroom measures 5,400 square feet, and will primarily house the whole range of Haas machines. “It will enable customer interaction at the machines, with mobile technology carts, and pen and hand computer tablet accessories, to facilitate discussion and Q&A while right in front of the machinery”, Peter said. “And”, he elaborated, “our technology will capture a digitalrecord of the dialog and presentations.” Since the beginning of 2009, the company has been implementing new software to increase their efficiency. “We added new processes to automate our back office systems”, Peter said, “so that we can be much more efficient, spend less time re-creating data, and ultimately, spend more face-to face time with our customers. It is paying off for us, as we see 2009 as our best year ever, despite the economic downturn!” “We are the market share leader in machinery sales in Arizona”, Peter said, “ It is imperative that we continue to evolve and innovate in order to continue to win business from machining and manufacturing companies in Arizona and So. Nevada. With the new HFO, we have brought together the most impressive presentation tools, sound and media to make the learning experience of procuring manufacturing technology stimulating. The next generation of machine tool buyers will expect this kind of technology and interaction. We really want the new HFO to be a facility for our customers.” The new facility will enable the company to continue to provide their customers with extended support from their full staff of application/service engineers and business managers along with an inventory of repair parts. Look out for the date of the Grand Opening of your HFO. “We look forward to seeing you at this event”, Peter said. “It is our gift to you.” For more information, go to ellisonaz.com or call them at 480-968-5335. |
